The HMP1 born as electronic body throttle tester.
But early grown new functions without loose a friendly usage.
Thanks to the screen you can have a easy read of the sensors data.
With a Heavy Duty manufacture for a long lifetime.
A recurring failure in automobiles is the battery and the charging system.
Generally the only available tool is the voltmeter, but its readings are very slow and do not allow us to see transient phenomena or peaks.
The HMP1 does 1000 measurements per second, it shows the current voltage, but it shows and remembers the maximum and the minimum reached.
At the end it shows a report with both values:
1) Disconnect all cables 2) Connect the 12v and wait for the menu to appear on the screen. 3) Press the "+" and "-" buttons until you see writing "Battery".
4) Press OK and the following information will appear on the screen:
Bat
You are testing the battery charging system
12.6
Current voltage of the battery
Min = 9.1
Minimum voltage reached during start-up
Max = 14.0
Maximum voltage reached during start-up
Press the "+" and "-" buttons to change the minimum and maximum 5) Start the car 6) Accelerate the car 7) Press OK and see the report where the maximum and minimum values reached appear.
In general, the minimum must not fall below 8.5v and the maximum changes according to the car.
