Temperature probe in cylinder cover
If is well suited, is the best way to save the engine.
However it depend a lot of site of probe placement, can be affected by enviroment, exhaust pipe, external wind etc. For this is only reccomended install by trained people.
Note that it has a different behavior than what one is used to seeing.
If choose thiw method take care :
-Make contact the probe with de dashed zone of the image.
-Can use a not used hole.
-You can loosen a screw and use an “omega half”
-Some people make a hole himself, this is dangerous and only can made who know the head cup on both sides ( inside and outside)
-Do not remove cylinder covers or gaskets OR COVER SCREWS. (they have a special adjustment and would damage the lid).
A) Cylinder cover
B) Sensor
C) Thermal isolation
D) Not used hole
E) half omega
F) Pre-existent screw
Aadhesives. An adhesive can work fine, BUT is very important take care because the most household adhesives melt at 100°c (212°f) and you wouldn't want to drop the sensor just when you need it most.
Also take care that when the glue cure ( hardeness ) can be separated one or two millimeters and so loose heat transfer.
Using a glue do not remove the thermal isolation request.
