Multi car sensor and actuator tester


The HMP1 is the most complete tool for mechanics testing, reading and/or emulating almost all car sensors.
It is so complete that it becomes the essential tool for servicing internal combustion vehicles.

Among its functions, we can highlight its ability to read and generate CKP & double CMP pulses simultaneously and the complete test of motorized throttle bodies and many more functions.

There are 3 types of possible actions for each sensor.
[T] Test. It means that the HMP1 can check the operation with the sensor/actuator outside the car (or disconnected)
[R] Reading. It means that you can read the operation without disconnecting it from the car and read/monitor its operation that way.
[E] Emulate. It means that the HMP will act as if it were the sensor so that the injection “believes” that the sensor is in place and working.

Hall sensor testing

HALL sensors are often found on camshafts, electronic distributors, and more.
The HALL effect is based on the reception of a magnetic field.
So you must get a magnet before starting the test or turning the motor (which already has its magnet).
If you are going to use a magnet on your hand, you will need to move the sensor so that the motor magnet does not influence it.
These sensors have 3 different output types:
A
5V Pulses
B
12V Pulses
C
Open Colector.

Test:

1) Connection. Pinch the signal wire and connect it to the TPS1 terminal of the main connector of HMP1.

2) Move the magnet in and out repeatedly while watching the response on the screen.
You should expect to see some of the following changes:
A
0v-12v
B
0v-5v,
C
0v-Open,
D
Pulse - Open.


Pulse implies that the sensor is changed their output since less of a1 second. For example if you zoom in or out the magnet recently. The screen remain saying Pulse while you do this zoom.
Note that the magnet have 2 poles ( north and south), and some sensors detect this, so if there is no output try invert the magnet, different angles and zones of sensor.
