The HMP1 born as electronic body throttle tester.
But early grown new functions without loose a friendly usage.
Thanks to the screen you can have a easy read of the sensors data.
With a Heavy Duty manufacture for a long lifetime.
You can test analog sensors with output from 0 to 5v like TPS / MAP / MAF and other sensors.
1) Choose the correct cable for the Sensor you want to test ..
Care: make sure that no more than 5v enter before or during the test
2) Connect the 12v and wait for the menu to appear on the screen. 3) Press the "+" and "-" buttons until you see writing "MAP" or "TPS" depending on what you want to test.
4) Press OK and some numbers similar to those shown in the image will appear.
Please note that:
MAP
You are testing a MAP / MAF sensor
4.1
It is the current value of the sensor in voltage
TPS
You are testing a TPS sensor
14
It is the current sensor value in percent
5) Move or stimulate the sensor in order to obtain different values 6.1) If you are testing a TPS sensor, it will generally read 0.7v without accelerating and 4.7 with the throttle fully open 6.1) If you are testing a MAP sensor, you will usually have this type of readings:
Estimated data only for reference:
1
Ralenti
2
Smooth acceleration
3
Abrupt deceleration
4
Abrupt Acceleration
5
Soft deceleration
6
Ralenti
If the engine is stopped, you can generate a vacuum with your mouth.
